Having came under fire for questioning Taj Mahal's place in history, BJP MLA Sangeet Som on Monday sought to distance himself from the controversy, saying that he was not averse to the 17th century architectural marvel. He also said their names would be erased from the pages of history. He wanted to wipe out Hindus. "My government has already sanctioned Rs 155 crore for the development of parks and various facilities in and around Taj", said state tourism minister Rita Bahuguna Joshi.

"If such people are still considered a part of (India's) glorious history, I can tell you with full confidence we will change that history", he had said earlier today, referring to the Mughal emperor credited with building the Taj Mahal.

Taj Mahal is also one of the highest earning monuments in India when it comes to tourism generating revenue.

In the latest tirade against the famous tomb, the controversial BJP lawmaker and Muzaffarnagar riots-accused Sangeet Som described Taj Mahal as a "blot" on Indian culture adding that it was built by those who wanted to "wipe out Hindus". What type of history are they talking about? You have demolished Babri Masjid, so all BJP members should demolish Taj Mahal and Red fort also.

In fact, Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, who built the Taj Mahal in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, was the one imprisoned till the end of his days by his son Aurangzeb.

Android and Linux devices are particularly vulnerable, he added, because their encryption keys can be rewritten to all zeros. This is also not the first widespread security flaw affecting common network infrastructure to have been disclosed recently.

During the rally held in Meerut, Som also said that people should not be anxious that Taj Mahal wasn't there on the list. A Unesco World Heritage Site, the Taj Mahal draws crores in annual revenue but has received a barrage of negative comments in recent months from top BJP leaders, including chief minister Yogi Adityanath - who in June said the ivory-white marble mausoleum didn't represent "Indian culture".

The loud-mouthed legislator, Som has been known for making provoking statements in the past too.

AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi tweeted: "Traitors" also build Red Fort will Modi stop hoisting Tiranga?

"Even Hyderabad House in Delhi was built by a "traitor"..." Calling it a big joke, Khalid Rashid said that such comments were aimed at vitiating the communal atmosphere and dividing the society.
