The confirmation of the rollout of the update came when VP for product management at HTC, Mo Versi tweeted stating that "OS update will be available for download" "starting on Monday". Well, it's worth noting that Mo looks after the America region for HTC, hence, this update will only roll out to the unlocked U11 in the United States, and, there's no specific date for when the U11 will get the Oreo update in other regions.
It's been a lot rougher, though, for anyone else who uses a device from the huge library of Android-powered phones, but you're in luck if you're an owner of the unlocked version of the HTC U11. "Thanks", Versi tweeted. Over that, he said that HTC A9 won't be receiving Android Oreo OS update. Unlocking HTC U11 users in the U.S. will get the update notification very soon.
Apple to Launch iPhone SE 2 in Early 2018
If you're someone residing in the region, you can take advantage of the company's Black Friday deals right now. The iPhone SE will get you a £20 voucher as well as the Apple Watch Series 1 will merit a £20 gift voucher.
A couple of weeks ago, HTC U11 was spotted on Geekbench with Android Oreo.
With Oreo on your phone, your world will be opened up to native Picture-in-Picture, notification dots, autofill, and much more. Soon after that, Android Oreo update was rolled out to the users of the smartphone in Taiwan. Besides a more bezel-free aesthetic and an 18:9 display, the U11 Plus is largely the same handset that the U11 is from the inside, but it runs Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. HTC has stated that the Android 8.0 Oreo update for its flagship smartphone, the HTC U11 will be rolling out today. While we didn't hear anything from HTC itself, we knew other markets would follow soon. You can head over to software update section in Settings app to check for the update manually.
