Unsubstantiated allegations of sexual misconduct involving C.K. and women have circulated on the Internet; comedian Tig Notaro recently suggested C.K. should "handle" the rumors regarding his past behavior. The Times reports that in an email, Becky vehemently denies threatening anyone.

The film is set for theatrical release on November 17.

In an interview with the Times in September, C.K. was asked about sexual misconduct rumors surrounding him.

The New York Times article has since been published and features claims from five women - all female comedians - about alleged inappropriate behaviour by CK. The women "feared career repercussions", the Times reported.

Comedians Dana Min Goodman and Julia Wolov say C.K. invited them to his hotel room for a nightcap after their performance at the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen in 2002.

The New York premiere of Louis C.K.'s upcoming film, I Love You, Daddy, has been canceled at the Paris Theatre on Friday.

The distribution company The Orchard said in a statement that the Thursday cancellation was "due to unexpected circumstances".

The black-and-white movie is about a TV writer-producer whose 17-year-old daughter falls in love with a 68-year-old filmmaker.

MS comedian Tig Notaro, whose first comedy album was released by Louis C.K., said she heard of his reputation from other women and suggested it's not exactly a secret in the comedy world.

Director Alfonso Arau is dismissing Debra Messing's charge that he demeaned her on the set of her first film, "A Walk in the Clouds". During the call, she said, she could hear him masturbating. "And it's just par for the course", she said of the comedy business.

"When he phoned her", according to the Times, "he said was sorry for shoving her in a bathroom".

Arau spoke Wednesday at the premiere of Disney-Pixar's "Coco". She reportedly told C.K. that he'd never done that to her but had requested to pleasure himself in front of her instead. She alleges he grabbed her and pushed her against a wall in the actor's trailer. She specifically blasts Jezebel and Daily Beast for "saying [she] said things [she] didn't say", and argued, "When stuff like this breaks, women get harassed and analyzed and criticized more".

The accusations come after a series of similar allegations against other powerful Hollywood figures.

Less than hour later, Kirkman issued more tweets to address "the men harassing" her since her initial comments, who say she had "recently implied" she did not believe the alleged victims and referenced the previously mentioned episode of her podcast. "Shameless" star William H. Macy will be replacing him.

It is set for local release on December 1.
