Wanda Durant: Feud Between Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook Is 'Too Hyped'

The fact of the matter is that even if they do have beef, they're going out and trying to win a game. Maybe it never will.

So come February 6 - when the Thunder visit the Warriors - I'm guessing Durant will mostly stay quiet but utter one or two sentences that could be interpreted as slights prior to the game, then jaw with Westbrook the whole way, score 50 and lead Golden State to a win before swearing that none of it had anything to do with anything personal between the ex-teammate he left behind. The win was both a message that despite early struggles OKC's new Big 3 could compete with the champs and a cathartic victory for the Thunder faithful who got to watch Westbrook finally take down Durant at home - and they got to see Westbrook and Durant get into it a little bit.

He didn't stop until the two were face-to-face, and I doubt they were asking each other what they were thankful for this Thanksgiving.

The two jawed at each other during their previous encounter in Oklahoma City a year ago and continued their feud on this occasion as things got heated. Durant chuckled and clapped his hands at Westbrook. "For the most part, I don't think we did that well tonight, and you've got to be ready for that challenge because they do keep coming at you".

"Man, it's just ball", Durant said.

The two former MVPs had heated conversation throughout the matchup between the Thunder and the Warriors, and had a few really intense moments during the game.

"We've got to be better in that area ... especially this team playing in this building and especially playing against us". You should give them credit for how they played, and we should be better. It's not about who was in each other's faces. Please don't believe it. And real passion is great for the game.

Durant's insistence on deflecting is odd. Only friend I have is the basketball, that's it.

"I play the same way every night", Westbrook said.

In a game that the Thunder controlled from the start, tensions initially started to bubble up in the second quarter after a turnover on a pass intended for Durant.

The reigning Finals MVP dropped 40 points on the Thunder at Chesapeake Energy Arena last season, his first and only game back at Oklahoma City to date.
