Multiple outlets are reporting that Florida State football coach Jimbo Fisher has resigned to take the top coaching job at Texas A&M.

Florida State (5-6) faces Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday and needs a win to be bowl eligible for a 36th consecutive season.

FSU President John Thrasher announced Fisher's resignation Friday afternoon.

On ESPNU SiriusXM radio Thursday, Fisher said he was not going to talk about potential jobs.

Several students WTXL spoke to say they strongly believe the football team's bad record this season played a large role and if the team had a strong season, this would not be happening. I've known him forever, when I was at Alabama and he was at Auburn.

It only seems like yesterday that Huawei partnered with Flex to manufacture Huawei Honor phones first week of October, 2016. The newest flagship handset, Honor V10 , boasts a powerful design and inner specs that rival this year's premium phones.

Fisher's buyout from Florida State is the sum remaining on the contracts of his assistants who are not retained, which would be in the range of $7 million.

"Florida State is Florida State". They'll hire a great coach. And I guess we'll see [Fisher] next year, if that's what he's going to do. I don't have any doubt about that. I don't get in to the rumors and the rumor mill.

Florida State said in its statement Friday that it would "move quickly" to evaluate candidates for the coaching position.

"I want to thank Coach Sumlin and the previous A&M staff for this unbelievable opportunity", O'Neal wrote. "When I committed to Texas A&M, I had a vision of 104,000 people screaming and cheering, while being on the field fighting to win ball games, including leaving with (sic) a great education and my family in the middle of it all. I've been waiting to come to this school and it's like really upsetting". Taggart, who grew up in Bradenton, Florida, went 7-5 in his first season at Oregon.
