The Pittsburgh Steelers defense registered seven total sacks in the team's Monday road win over the Houston Texans and that included cornerback Mike Hilton being responsible for three of them.

The current 50 sack season is the most by the Steelers since 2002 when they also recorded 50 quarterback take-downs.

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger completed 20 of 29 passes for 225 yards and two touchdowns, including scoring strikes of five yards to Justin Hunter and 18 yards to JuJu Smith-Schuster.

The Steelers will have an extra week to get Antonio Brown healthy for the playoffs.

White Christmas for parts of NY area
Highs Christmas Day will be in the 20s while temperatures on Tuesday will only recover to the low- to mid-teens. A coating to an inch of snow is expected in New York City and parts of western Long Island.

The Texans wide receiver made arguably the catch of the year Monday night.

The Steelers (11-3) will visit the Texans (4-10) at 4:30 p.m. ET Christmas Day before closing the regular season at Heinz Field against the winless Browns (0-14).

Hopkins did not have a reception until the final play of the third quarter and finished with four catches for 65 yards. Taylor Heinicke made his National Football League debut and played two series before Yates returned early in the third quarter. He later passed the concussion protocol and came back into the game. Yates replaced Heinicke on the next series.

The NFL brings us a special Christmas Day double-head on Monday, beginning with an evening matchup that sends the Pittsburgh Steelers to NRG Stadium for a meeting with the Houston Texans.
