On Tuesday evening (Nov. 28) the pre-taped Victoria Secret Fashion Show aired on CBS, which meant plenty of behind the scenes moments landed on social media.
Karlie Kloss, who walked in the show, uploaded a video on YouTube Wednesday that gave viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the models before they walked the runway. Not all models in the clip are rapping.
"There are too many nonblack people in this video for the N word to be that loud", one Twitter user wrote. The footage, although inconspicuous, was slammed after people heard many non-black models seemingly rapping the n-word along with the song's lyrics.
Fans were quick to point out in that St. Louis native and model Devon Windsor refrained from joining her VS sisters in saying the n-word. As Teen Vogue shares, the clip has come under fire for what appears to be some models rapping the N-word.
Instagram now lets you remix the photos your friends send you
What makes Instagram's implementation unique, however, is that users can annotate images originally shared by other users. However, if having your photos remixed doesn't interest you, a One View option can be selected, similar to Snapchat .
People were upset with the group, especially - as writer Mikelle Street pointed out - none of the women featured in the video were black.
The video was originally posted by model Camilla Rowe, who condemned the use of the word after her video gained traction.
She also revealed the title and release date of her next song. Other big winners included Stormzy (Best Male Act, Best Grime Act, and Best Album for Gang Signs & Prayer), Giggs (Best Hip Hop Act), and Craig David (Best R&B/Soul Act).
