Four Auburn online programs receive top rankings from US News & World Report

UNCG's Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) ranks No. 11 nationally in the latest U.S. News & World Report listing of "Best Online Master's in Nursing Programs". Throughout both undergraduate and graduate studies, a couple Philly-area schools ranked among the best.

The online programs offered by the Graduate School of Education were ranked No. 15 in the nation in the Best Online Graduate Education Programs rankings, earning a placement on the annual list for the sixth consecutive year.

IU has been a forerunner in online programs at both the undergraduate and graduate level for almost 20 years, now offering 116 online degree programs.

The MSU College of Business' Distance MBA program remains one of the best in the country at No. 22 in U.S. News' Best Online MBA Program rankings, once again achieving the highest ranking of any online MBA program in Mississippi. It ranked ahead of programs at several other state institutions, including Old Dominion University at No. 42 and George Mason University at No. 57.

The online bachelor's rankings evaluate program quality and how programs specifically appeal to adults aged 25 and older, with evaluative factors such as course delivery, teaching effectiveness, student engagement, faculty credentials, peer reputation, and student services and technology.

"The recognition from U.S. News & World Report speaks to our student-centered approach", said UNCG School of Nursing Dean Robin Remsburg.

The College of Communication and Information's online graduate program in information technology cracked the Top 10, rising to No. 7 in the category of computer information technology. "As the online market expands, we also are expanding our educational opportunities to meet the needs of tomorrow's business professional".

The College of Education's online graduate program continues to rank among the best in the nation at No. 13. Students pay one tuition rate, regardless of in-state or out-of-state status, can receive course credit or competency credit for previous education and professional experiences, and earn a degree on their own schedule, added McNeely.

"While many institutions are shifting towards models of teaching assistants or master courses developed by designers, our program curricula and individual courses are designed and delivered by our research faculty". The Master of Science in Information Technology degree is offered by the college's School of Information.

EKU's online nursing programs include MSN options in nursing administration, family nurse practitioner, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and multiple post-MSN options.

Virginia Tech has offered online and distance-learning education for two decades. Online Bachelor's of Arts are offered in psychology and social science.

One of the unique features of the program is the requirement for each student to go on a faculty-led global trip, which allows students to observe the application of principles learned in their courses in an worldwide business setting.
