The jackpots now exceed a total of more than $780 million.

The estimated $440 million prize, with a cash value of $278 million, marks the ninth largest jackpot in the game's history, according to figures on the Powerball website.

The $384 million prize ranks 14th all-time in Powerball jackpots.

Winners of winning Powerball ticket in Melbourne Beach will be announced in Tallahassee on Wednesday.

The winning numbers for Saturday's drawing were: 28, 36, 41, 51, 58 and the Powerball of 24.

The odds of winning the Powerball lottery game got worse when changes were made in 2015, but the jackpots got larger.

Photos posted on social networks by stranded passengers showed long lines at New York's JFK and Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson. All airports were back on line after wait times for travelers that were longer than usual, it said.

Another ticket sold in New Jersey matched four of the five numbers and had 24 as the Powerball, meaning two tickets sold in the Garden State were a single number away from the $384 million year-end jackpot. There was no victor of the $390 million jackpot for the drawing held on Saturday, Dec. 30.

Chances of winning the jackpot are 1-in-302.6 million.

Players pick five numbers from 1 to 69 in the first set of numbers.

By late August, the Powerball had reached $758.7 million, which all went to victor Mavis Wanczyk of MA, making it the largest prize ever awarded to a single ticket.

The drawings are held at 10:59 p.m.
