Road conditions may get even worse later in the day Saturday into Saturday night as temperatures fall.

Areas farther north will see more of a freezing rain/sleet or a sleet to snow mix. With the threat for light rain or drizzle continuing, a glaze of ice will be a possibility into Sunday morning.

The next chance of snow looks to be Sunday night into Monday morning.

Lawmakers balk at potential cost of Trump's military parade
US President Donald Trump has told Pentagon officials to plan a large-scale military parade in the nation's capital this year. Bush held a military parade in Washington on June 8, 1991, to mark victory in the Persian Gulf War.

Mixed precipitation expected through late morning through early evening. Snow likely. Highest accumulation generally north of a line from Clay Center to Holton with 2 to 5 inches possible. This will allow us to cool back off in to the low and middle 20s Sunday night with gradually clearing clouds. Saturday and Sunday are expected to have highs of 30-31 degrees, with warmer temperatures next week - up to 47 degrees Tuesday.

The chance of rain increases to 100 percent overnight Saturday and into Sunday. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for some areas of Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas where this is possible. He said temperatures will drop throughout the day as a cold front makes its way across the area. The service predicts an accumulation of anywhere between 3 and 10 inches Thursday, depending on where the notice was posted. Partly sunny, with a high near 75. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 20. We'll see the snow exit near the sunrise with lows in the lower teens.

High winds can also result in lower snow ratios since snowflakes can break apart in that situation, says NOAA.
