George Groves could miss the World Boxing Super Series final having been taken to hospital with a suspected dislocated shoulder suffered in his victory over Chris Eubank Jr in Manchester. The three judges all scored the fight in favour of Groves, scoring it 117 points to 112, 116 to 112 and 115 to 113.

Groves faces the victor Callum Smith vs. Jurgen Braehmer clash in the WBSS final.

Sauerland also announced that he would make a recommendation to the promoters board, most likely Eubank Jr, and they would chose the replacement.

ITV Box Office is hosting the Groves vs Eubank Jr fight.

In the night's main event, WBA super middleweight champion George Groves took out IBO world champion Chris Eubank Jr.in the semifinals of the super middleweight tournament.

"He didn't lie when he said he would grit it out", Groves told ITV Box Office. George ain't ready, I can see it in his eyes.

'I dropped him at least once but it didn't count.

"Did I underestimate him?" I didn't get hit clean.

Eubank Jr had hoped this contest would ensure he could emerge from his famous father's shadow, yet he looked in trouble as soon as a bad cut above his right eye emerged in the third round, seemingly from an accidental clash of heads.

"But after this fight, when I win, I believe Junior will sack the dad and move back down to middleweight".

Groves, who has fought in more big fights, used distance wisely to pick and choose his moments.

So when you hear Prince Naz say that Eubank needs to retire or fight him, know that "Prince" thinks he can win that fight.

Groves then showed his strength by flipping Eubank Jr nearly through the ropes - the ugly inside exchanges were not concerning him.

Groves said after the fight: 'I haven't diagnosed it yet but it feels pretty sore but I wasn't going to let anything beat me tonight.
