In a statement, Senior Vice President of Customer Care at Samsung Electronics America, Michael Lawder, said: "This announcement marks a fundamental shift in our care offerings to consumers and underscores our commitment to provide Samsung customers with support anywhere, anytime our customers need it". Samsung says it will cover "more than 300" authorized service locations in the United States, which are said to reach "the majority of the continental U.S. population, within a 30-mile radius." uBreakiFix's website says the company runs just under 380 stores across the country. The service which will be provided by uBreakiFix promised the owners to fix their phones on the spot or within a time period of fewer than 2 hours.

Samsung says that appointments can be booked online, or you can simply walk into a retail location and drop off your damaged Galaxy smartphone. Samsung typically puts a one-year manufacturer's warranty on its Galaxy flagships. However, there are some exceptions to the same-day support, like liquid damage to the phones.

It must be noted that these Samsung Care-authorized service centers are already available in every major metro city of the USA, but by early 2019, the company plans to add 200 more uBreakiFix locations in order to reach even more customers than they already do. Stores will be able to work on repairs covered by your warranty, as well as those that aren't (such as broken screens) for an affordable cost. Along with those, the Galaxy Note 5 and Note 8 will also be supported.
