Huawei just wrapped up its Paris event and the final product announcement, the Porsche Design Huawei Mate RS is the one you will most likely be talking about for weeks to come. Apple is also hosting an event in Chicago that centers on education, and rumors say it may unveil a new lower cost iPad. The Pro also features a 4,000 mAh battery.

What's better than two rear-facing cameras on a smartphone? The smartphone blends the luxury aesthetics with the high-end hardware.

For example, Huawei teamed up with food photographers to work out the best settings for snapping grub.

"We look for inspiration from artists to continuously evolve our approach to design and innovation".

Like its rivals, the P20 Pro is aimed at those who spend their lives on social media and love taking photos. This is paired with a 20MP monochrome camera with an f/1.6 aperture and an 8MP, f/2.4 telephoto camera.

The P20 Pro's triple-camera system is co-developed with German camera maker Leica.

The Huawei P20 Pro is the most photo-centric smartphone that we've ever seen, offering a wealth of camera features that are created to help you "take ideal photos every time", at least according to Huawei.

Both these smartphones support six-axis stabilisation.

And that's not the end of the differences, as for example the Huawei P20 can record slow motion footage at up to 960fps, while the P10 is capped at 240fps. Another highlight in the photography department is AI.

Acer and Google unveil the first Chrome OS tablet
Google has also claimed that will be soon provided Expeditions AR support to the rear camera of the tablet for classroom learning. Plus, Chrome OS is automatically updated and guards students against ever-changing online threats, such as viruses and malware.

In partnership with Google, the new series supports Google ARCore delivering advanced augmented reality (AR) capabilities, the company said.

Huawei announced its flagship P-series duo a few hours ago. The P20 twins are available in a variety of colours with several layers of NCVM optical coatings underneath the glass back.

When light hits the surface, it will refract and create a gradual change in hue, from a striking blue to a twilight effect. Not only it has three cameras, but the camera sensors also have a very high resolution.

A attractive display with thin bezels.

The Kirin 970 is a 10nm, eight-core chip, with four 2.36GHz Cortex A73 cores and four 1.8GHz Cortex A53 cores providing CPU power. It's powered by a 3000mAh battery, and it runs EMUI 8.0 on top of Android 8.0 Oreo. 6GB of RAM is also part of the package, together with 256GB of internal flash memory, or twice as much as the P20 Pro. The new phone will be available from 28 March for Euro 649, followed by a P20 Pro from 16 April for Euro 899. The Mate RS features an 8-edge 3D curved design as well as a 6-inch 2K curved OLED display.

What I'm less fond of is the noticeable chin on the P20 phones, which houses a fingerprint scanner below the display. Huawei hasn't shared many details about the in-screen fingerprint reader of the phablet, having only said it starts scanning for fingertips the moment it detects a finger hovering over it and is supposedly quick to unlock the device.

A Porsche Design Huawei Mate RS was also launched alongside the two phones.

This is the first smartphone in the world equipped with a microcapsule PCM which is an aerospace cooling technology for maintaining an optimum operating temperature. It sports a 5.8-inch LCD notched display with a resolution of 1080 x 2244 pixels.

Huawei says the big advantage of this is super-zoom. No word about its arrival in India so far. But it's hard to keep innovating after more than a decade of smartphones.
