An American Idol contestant came clean about his love of Taylor Swift to judge Katy Perry on Sunday night's (March 18) episode, and Perry - who's been notoriously locked in a cold war with Swift for years - responded in a possibly shady capacity.
The moment in question occurred after an American Idol contestant wrapped up their performance when American Idol judge Luke Bryan posed a question to him, saying: "Who do you look up to as an artist?", People reports.
Returning to the present-day, then: Perry's latest comment came following a contestant's admission on the USA singing show that he "loved" Swift, with the wannabe star also apologising to Perry for revealing his preference for Taylor.
Federer dispatches Hyeon Chung : Indian Wells
Chung is set to become the top Asian player in the ATP rankings , surpassing Japan's Kei Nishikori who has held sway since 2011. Then again in the third set, I had two times break, you know. "Really I just woke up", Federer said in an on-court interview.
Contestant Amelia Hammer Harris has the music industry in her bones. The American Idol hopeful is the daughter of songwriter Jack Hammer, who's credited as a co-writer for "Great Balls of Fire".
"Oh, you don't have to be sorry at all". But by specifying she loves Tay "as a songwriter", she's also implying she really doesn't like her as a person. She then went on Carpool Karaoke and declared that it was Swift's job to finish their fight because she started it.
She denied it and added: "You do something, there's going to be a reaction, and trust me daddy, there's going to be a reaction". Fans suspected that Taylor's Bad Blood video was aimed at Katy and that Katy's Swish Swish lyrics were about Taylor. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. Perry seemed flustered, though she did keep things cordial. "We've had our differences but I just continue to say, 'God bless her on her journey". Last year, Perry reportedly brought up the drama with Swift while promoting her Witness album.
