Logitech has announced two new accessories for the newly announced Apple iPad. The stylus charges using a Lightning charger and lasts 8 hours before needing recharged, but take note: it doesn't support pressure.

What makes this low-priced education-focused iPad so special is its Apple Pencil support - something that was previously limited to "Pro" iPad devices. To ensure the highest levels of protection and durability, the Rugged Combo 2 protects iPad from bumps, scratches and drops of up to four feet.

Offering both a keyboard and case, the Rugged Combo 2 is powered by the iPad itself via a proprietary connector.

Apple and Logitech also used the presentation as an opportunity to reveal a new ruggedly-designed Logitech-branded iPad case that will suit the company's updated low-price hardware.

Australia adds opener Renshaw to squad for Wanderers Test
Australia have added opening batsman Matt Renshaw to their squad for the fourth Test against South Africa in Johannesburg. A decision on Darren Lehmann's future as Australia coach may also be announced by CA.

The Rugged Combo 2 has a detachable keyboard layout with pry-resistant keys that don't require replacement. The keyboard is spill-resistant too, so it won't be ruined if a Capri Sun is spilled on it.

"Logitech Crayon is the first digital pencil designed for the new iPad and leverages technology found in Apple Pencil to deliver sub-pixel precision, low latency and support for tilt in a design that's flawless for students. iPad features palm rejection technology and can tell the difference between Logitech Crayon and a hand resting on the display so students can write and draw naturally, just as they would with traditional pencil and paper", says Logitech.

The case has a built-in kickstand that can prop-up the iPad at various angles and four viewing modes: typing mode, viewing mode, notebook mode and travel mode.

Logitech has announced a pair of accessories for the newly announced 6th-generation iPad: the Logitech Crayon and Logitech Rugged Combo 2. Manufactured by Logitech and endorsed by Apple, the Crayon is a white-and-orange stylus that will allow younger users (children of all ages, if you will) an easy way to interact with all of the hottest iPad software.
