Morocco Switches Off Lights for Earth Hour on Saturday

The Earth Hour is an annual observance which seeks to bring attention to environmental conservation and climate change.

Now in its eleventh year, Earth Hour has gone beyond the hour and achieved massive environmental impacts around the world by harnessing the power of the crowd.

A performance by acappella group Just Vocal Band will be held in the main lobby of The Westin Taipei to attract guests to congregate in the area, ensuring the lights are off in their rooms.

Earth Hour is now in its eleventh year and last year nine million people took part in all corners of the globe.

"Earth Hour is a symbolic representation of the power that we all have to make a difference in the fight against climate change", he said.
