RIYAD MAHREZ has refused to rule out another traumatic transfer window this summer - after confessing signing for Manchester City would have been a dream move for him.

The Algeria global was absent for two Leicester City matches after missing out on joining the Premier League leaders, who reportedly made a £60 million (A$106.40 million) offer on deadline day two months ago. It was hard but I was always in contact with the club.

"Everyone to be honest has been very good and it's the past now".

"I've been with these team-mates for four years now".

There have been conflicting reports as to whether City will try again, with some stating Guardiola still has Mahrez in his plans and others claiming the City boss wasn't impressed by the player's behaviour after his move collapsed. If we start talking about this, it's like coming back to this transfer window, and now I'm looking forward and trying to give my best for the team. "At the moment, I'm a Leicester player".

"It was hard but I spoke with the players, I spoke with the manager, I spoke with everyone".

"We are working with Facebook to have it removed". Secondly, we're very far away from the transfer window.

Speaking to the Daily Mail newspaper, he said: "I can remember holding her hand as she walked me to school". And he ended by thanking his 98-year-old mother and telling her to get ready for a celebration.

"In football players come and players leave".

Mahrez's 97th-minute free-kick rescued a point for Leicester against Bournemouth last weekend, and the Algeria worldwide insists his mind is "focused on Leicester" and their remaining fixtures.

"You'll always have regrets but at that time I thought it was the best thing to do. I'm not saying I'm coming or going", he said. "So I don't want talk about the transfer window".

Mahrez was coy and diplomatic when posed the question about his summer plans.

"I can confirm that Riyad's page was hacked and that the post is not genuine", a Foxes spokesman told Omnisport.

"After the last consultation with many doctors, I've chose to stay away from football", the Facebook post said.
