Warren Beatty, Faye Dunaway Get Second Chance To Present 'Best Picture'

The producers of Monday's Academy Awards ceremony are unlikely to forget the disgusting embarrassment of announcing the wrong Best Picture a year ago.

After the incorrect announcement that La La Land had won Best Picture, the on-stage revelry of the film's cast and crew ground to a halt once it was revealed that Moonlight had actually won the award.

The cast and crew of La La Land welcome those of Moonlight to the stage after the latter was announced as the victor.

It was a cluster when "La La Land" producers on stage realized they didn't win. That's why I took such a long look at Faye and at you. Moonlight, you guys won best picture. "This is not a joke".

Dunaway then ran off the stage, leaving a bewildered Beatty behind.

Accounting firm Pricewaterhouse Coopers was responsible for envelope mixup, and the firm has put new protocols into place to prevent further mistakes. Not only did he handle this so graciously - and I'm not sure everybody would have in this situation - but he gave us the opportunity to get that shot.

The pair reportedly attended a rehearsal yesterday, going through their lines twice.

Dunaway, meanwhile, said of the incident in April 2017 on NBC Nightly News: "I was very guilty, I could have done something surely".
