The families shattered by a deadly rampage through the streets of Toronto include a seven-year-old boy now left without a mother and a son forced to bury the father who travelled overseas to visit him, community members said Wednesday.

Toronto police have arrested 25-year-old Alek Minassian in the incident.

Mike McCormack, the president of the Toronto Police Association, told the Globe and Mail that he had spoken to the officer who arrested Minassian. But they declined to say whether they were investigating the post, much less whether they considered it a clue to a possible motive.

Toronto police said a 14th charge of attempted murder is expected to be laid in the coming days.

D'Amico, 30, worked at Invesco, an investment management firm near the attack.

A Jordanian citizen was also killed, said an official at the country's embassy in Ottawa.

Amarasingha came to the temple frequently, sometimes helping arrange religious ceremonies, Thero said. No other information about Najjar was released. "But he's more concerned with 10 people being dead, 15 people being injured, why now and what's happening in this city". Citing government officials, it said Minassian was not associated with any organized militant group.

"All hail the Supreme Gentleman Elliot Rodger!" reads a Facebook page believed to be Minassian's. We will overthrow all the Chads and Stacys!

Rodger had used the term "incel" - for involuntarily celibate - in online posts raging at women for rejecting him romantically. Like-minded people in internet forums sometimes use "Chad" and "Stacy" as dismissive slang for men and women with more robust sex lives. As Michael Lyman, a professor of criminal justice at Columbia College of Missouri, told the BBC, American police officers would probably feel a "duty" to kill the suspect. "It's something that we'll take into account". A South Korean news agency said two Korean nationals were killed and Jordan's state-run news agency said one of that country's citizens died. He was charged Tuesday with 10 counts of first-degree murder and 13 counts of attempted murder.

This entry has been corrected to delete reference to three South Koreans being unaccounted for.

Prosecutors seize on President Trump's comments about Cohen on 'Fox & Friends'
I just want you to remember that this is what Trump volunteered to his friendly media mouthpieces. Trump knew nothing about the agreement with my client, the $130k payment, etc".

Alek Minassian, 25, was seen on video trying to get a cop to shoot him.

Friend Thilina Pelendage said Amarasingha was known for her joking nature, and for never forgetting people's birthdays. He spoke with her parents on Tuesday.

Tennis Canada said D'Amico had volunteered at its marquis Rogers Cup tournament every summer since the age of 12, starting out as a "ball girl" and eventually heading its stadium control committee.

"D'Amico volunteered at a Canada-based worldwide humanitarian charity called Live Different".

Dorothy Sewell was grandmother and great-grandmother, her grandson, Elwood Delaney, said.

At least ten people were killed when the van plowed onto the sidewalk, Toronto Police Service Chief Mark Saunders said at a press conference Monday evening.

The incident prompted police to beef up security and close several streets around the Air Canada Centre Monday night for the Toronto-Boston NHL playoff game.

The suspect and a police officer faced off, their guns drawn.

The officer is pointing a gun at him.

"I remember seeing him probably just walking down the halls, usually by himself, or in the cafeteria by himself", he said.

Police have taken the driver, a man by the name of Alex Minassian, into custody. He sported a shaved head and white jumpsuit and held his hands behind his back, showing little emotion throughout. His next court appearance is now slated for May 10.
