O'Sullivan: Young Celtics acing playoff lessons

Jaylen Brown had a career-playoff-high 30 points as the host Boston Celtics took a 2-0 lead in their best-of-seven Eastern Conference quarterfinal series with the Milwaukee Bucks after a 120-106 win Tuesday night.

The Boston Celtics withstood the Milwaukee Bucks' best shot as they just about escaped with a Game 1 win, 113-107 in overtime.

And the Bucks' defensive effort was nearly non-existent, especially against Boston point guard Terry Rozier, who matched his Game 1 total with 23 points. Al Horford led the way with a remarkable all-around performance of 24 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, three blocks, and two steals. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the team with 30 points, nine rebounds and eight assists, Khris Middleton added 25 points on 10 of 14 shooting while John Henson and Eric Bledsoe each scored 12 points. We'll get by. That's where Boston is right now: they won 55 games in the regular season and have taken a 2-0 lead in this series as the next guys up have stepped up.

TORONTO (AP) - DeMar DeRozan matched his career playoff-high with 37 points, Jonas Valanciunas had 19 points and 14 rebounds and the Raptors beat the Wizards, taking a 2-0 lead in a playoff series for the first time in franchise history.

At the post-media presscon, the “Greek Freak” was asked if his team has to play with more effort – an observation also seconded by his Bucks coach earlier. Rozier knocked down a 3-pointer with just.5 seconds left in Game 1 (see tweet above).

'The Walking Dead' Season 8 Finale Nets Lowest Ratings Since Season 1
One of his largest works on the topic is a study on the portrayals of people with disabilities in horror films. Now that the season 8 finale has aired, fans are going to have a ton of questions running through their heads.

Milwaukee's bench group was outscored 41-25 in the contest.

And it's pretty hard to imagine Bledsoe forgot about the guy who made him look silly on a last-second step-back three at the end of Game 1. They kept the foot on the throttle, and the Bucks began to wilt. "We will regroup and head back home for Game 3".

The series shifts to Milwaukee for games 3 and 4 later this week. The Celtics' guard doesn't have time for any mind games, though.

"Game was moving a lot faster in my mind than it had, so I had a couple of bad turnovers because I wasn't thinking out there", said Larkin, who planted himself in front of a video screen the next day with Brad Stevens, and let the lessons from those mistakes sink in. Shane Larkin also had 11 points to score double-digits in a playoff game for the first time in his National Basketball Association career. "Drew Bledsoe makes tough shots and we just try to limit them to what they're good at by just being long off the ball and showing our presence and I felt like we did a great job with that the majority of the game".
