Sara Gilbert Gets Emotional Over High 'Roseanne' Ratings: "It's Just Unbelievable"

The same day it was announced Roseanne would be renewed for a second season on ABC, the title character returned to Twitter to deliver some of her conspiracy theory-tinged thoughts.

TMZ did some digging, and we found out the Conners' couch went to a production warehouse after the show went off the air in 1997. and it remained there for years until a show honcho bought it.

It seems it did, as the reboot raked in 18.2 million viewers on Tuesday during its two back-to-back episodes.

With one day of DVR and video-on-demand viewing counted, the new total for the premiere is 21.9 million viewers.

Trump has historically been highly attuned to television ratings, including his own as the host of NBC's "The Apprentice". The giant numbers for the sitcom even caught the attention of President Trump, who called Roseanne Barr to personally congratulate her.

"They were unbelievable", Trump said.

"We just kind of had a private conversation", she said. Roseanne's support of Trump has troubled some and angered many more, especially those who accuse her of sharing alt-right conspiracy theories.

They also blew up many girls' schools and imposed their strict version of Islamic law until they were finally driven out. Just this month, she used her Nobel Prize money to build a new school in Shangla, close to her home district.

ABC has been laying the foundation for a second season of its Roseanne revival in the weeks leading to its debut and cast deals for a second season recently closed ahead of the premiere. For the president, it's a rare bright spot among the major TV series, award ceremonies and late-night shows that regularly skewer him.

"He said 'Donald, I called just to say hello and to tell you did you see Roseanne's ratings?' I said, 'Mark, How big were they?'" Trump recounted.

After posting the link to a story that discussed why Trump should thank the actress, the Roseanne star was quick to counter-argue, "The writer is so gracious to me, but I do like the President". "That there's a huge market for this should be a gut-check for Hollywood and the mainstream media".

"I have worked with victims of trafficking for decades & supported the fight against it", Barr tweeted.

"I got so lucky, because I was still getting hired for things, but the fact is, I was drinking at work", Goodman says on Sunday Today With Willie Geist.

Adding, "I've known him for many years and he's done a lot of nice things for me over the years".
