Suspect in Bay Area sexual assaults arrested

A city man is facing sex assault charges after police say he had intercourse with a woman as she slept in the bed of his apartment.

Rockford Police say 36-year-old Daniel Williams faces two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault and three counts of criminal sexual assault.

The affidavit said the alleged victim told investigators that Harper was a friend of a friend who needed a place to stay.

The victim claims she was forcibly confined and sexually assaulted.

Disbrow told police that he awoke sometime during the night with the woman's head on his shoulder, and became aroused as he thought about giving her the massage, according to the complaint.

She called police from a relative's home after being treated at a local hospital, giving police permission to search her apartment, where they found Harper.

Ithaca Police described the suspect as between 20 and 30 years old, while Cornell Police referred to him as college-aged.

Police registered a case of sexual assault under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) against the man.

Police said that it would be investigated whether the accused has been involved in other crimes activities also and have targeted other minor girls in the past.

Harper remained in custody at Bexar County Jail Wednesday on a felony sexual assault charge, with no bond, according to court records.
