Modi holds talks with Prachanda, Nepali Congress leaders

Kathmandu: Nepal is sensitive to India's interests and would not allow its territory to be used against India, Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli has assured his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi. This will be the biggest foreign investment project in Nepal.

On Saturday, PM Modi would fly down to Kathmandu to visit the Pashupatinath temple.

To everybody's delight, Modi talked about how a Nepali young cricketer, Sandeep Lamichhaney, is further strengthening the age old ties between the two countries via cricket. "So that's how the sequence has been, first Prime Minister Oli visited India and now Prime Minister (Modi) is in Nepal", Gokhale said.

The Prime Minister also said that India would install a Bhabhatron radiation therapy machine in Kathmandu's cancer hospital. India-Nepal ties are above inter-governmental relations.

"We are looking into cross-border electricity and cross-border connectivity not only with Nepal but other neighbouring countries as well", he said.

Alleging violation of the model code of conduct, Gehlot said Modi's temple visits in Nepal were being aired on the day of polling in Karnataka. Then they inaugurated the "Ramayan Circuit" to promote tourism in Nepal and India.

Modi greeted and interacted with the crowd at both Janakpur and Muktinath after visiting temples.
