A Southwest Airlines flight was forced to make an emergency landing today, just two weeks after a woman died after being sucked out of a window on another Southwest plane. The flight departed Midway at 8:36 a.m. and landed in Cleveland at 9:53 a.m., Southwest said.

Bank executive Jennifer Riordan, 43, of Albuquerque, was killed when she was almost sucked out of the plane.

A broken window is seen on Southwest Flight 957, in Cleveland on Wednesday in this picture obtained from social media.

The Dallas-based airline said the Boeing 737 had been taken out of service for maintenance, and the 81 passengers onboard transferred to another aircraft to complete their journey.

The Boeing 737 maintained pressurization during the flight and the pilot did not request an emergency landing, the spokesperson said. The crew never declared an emergency in the plane and the cabin did not depressurize.

Created in 1959 at the height of Francisco Franco's dictatorship, ETA is blamed for the deaths of at least 829 people. Government spokesman Inigo Mendez de Vigo said Spain would continue to pursue suspects in crimes attributed to ETA.

This accident happened two days after the plane passed visual inspections, according to The New York Times.

Passengers snapped and shared photos of the damaged window, which was noticed during the flight.

"It sounded like somebody had stood up and opened the overhead and slammed it shut with a lot of force", said passenger Joel Lanoue.

On Tuesday, President Trump met with pilot Tammie Jo Shults and other members of that Southwest crew in the Oval Office.

Upshaw said the startling noise was "enough you heard it like five rows from the crack". So far the cause of the crack is unknown. She was one of the first female fighter pilots in the USA military and achieved the rank of Lieutenant Commander before leaving active duty. The passenger sitting next to the window was killed. Southwest tweeted a statement Wednesday afternoon, stating the window crack occurred on an outer pane.
