Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, has admitted Cristiano Ronaldo is "worried" by the sprained ankle he suffered, during Sunday's 2-2 draw with Barcelona.

Ronaldo got injured during the el classico match against Barcelona on Sunday, which ended in a 2-2 draw with report having it that he could still have the opportunity of playing in La Liga again this season.

Gareth Bale stepped up in his absence and cancelled out Lionel Messi's wonderstrike, but given the proximity of his injury to the final the hope was he would miss out at the NSC Olimpiyskiy Stadium.

And Zidane denied putting a time frame on Ronaldo's injury absence, despite the Champions League final against Liverpool being just three weeks away. I would definitely be in favour of him moving to Madrid because it would be my big dream to play in the same side as Neymar.

"He was a little anxious because it was a bit swollen, but he said that it's nothing serious", Zidane said following the stalemate.

"He's one of the best in the world and you never know, football changes around a lot".

Ronaldo was a key figure and captain as Portugal won Euro 2016, a victory which in itself was a shock given their perceived lack of star quality aside from the Real Madrid forward.

Liverpool will have to face a full-strength Real Madrid side in the upcoming UEFA Champions League final in Kiev, Ukraine.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho says his native Portugal can win the World Cup - thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo. It would be ideal to have him back for the Villarreal game.it is a knock, but he didn't damage his fibula.

However, should both top their groups and escape the Round of 16, a Ronaldo-Messi quarter-final awaits in Sochi on 7 July. A point will be enough to secure qualification for next season's Champions League. We want to win all three and qualify for Europe.

"Right now it's not good but I think it's minor".
