"Why can't we complete the trial", said Sharif.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Nawaz on Monday said that her father, former premier Nawaz Sharif, is now being termed a traitor after opponents failed to curtail the popularity of his "narrative demanding respect for vote", ARY News reported. "Explain it to me", he asked, in a clear reference to the Mumbai killings blamed on 10 Pakistani terrorists.

Sharif's embattled PML-N party, facing a number of desertions and corruption charges against its senior leadership, will take on the PTI, PPP and others in a general election in July.

He said, "There was no bigger evidence of the Indian government's lack of interest in taking the case to its end than its refusal to allow FIA to question the only living proof of the attacks: Ajmal Kasab".

Senator Rehman, who is also the Leader of the Opposition in the Senate, said questions were being raised all around the world following Mr Sharif's remarks.

The rejection of Sharif's remarks came at a meeting of Pakistan's top civil-military body presided over by his successor Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.

"A few sentences (from the newspaper interview) were blown out of proportion and context". Pakistan admitted the attacks were planned on its soil but denied any official involvement, and did not confirm the gunmen had set sail from Karachi.

"The participants observed that it was very unfortunate that the opinion arising out of either misconceptions or grievances was being presented in disregard of concrete facts and realities", the statement by the PM House said.

I've played a few rounds of Fortnite's Infinity Gauntlet mode myself, and I've devised a deep survival strategy. The only thing that matters about this Fortnite/Avengers crossover is that we get to see Thanos dance.

He also clarified that he was not resigning, saying, "I will stay the prime minister until 12am on May 31".

While India has to put the record straight about the allegations levelled by the Pakistani NSC, it would be prudent to point out suitably, in a measured tone, that the substance of Nawaz Sharif's charge is against the Pakistan army and that the army needs to provide answers both to the Pakistani people and the worldwide community on the larger issue of governance and on sponsoring terrorism.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, the prime minister said: "Some parts of the statement attributed to Nawaz Sharif are not true". "The participants unanimously rejected the allegations and condemned the fallacious assertions".

Resolutions condemning the recent controversial statement of deposed prime minister Nawaz Sharif regarding the Mumbai attacks were submitted in the Sindh and Punjab provincial assemblies on Monday.

It was attended by Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Zubair Mahmood Hayat and Director General Inter-Services Intelligence Lt. Gen. Naveed Mukhtar. Despite making sacrifices, our narrative is not being accepted.

Everyone should understand why this game was staged, said Khan and added that no doubt conspiracy is being hatched to weaken Pakistan Army. "We must look into it", Sharif told Dawn.

Sharif, who was answering a question about his ouster, steered the conversation towards foreign policy and national security by saying that Pakistan has isolated itself in global arena despite giving sacrifices in war on terror.
