The Stunning Superhero Save That Kept Huddersfield Town In The Premier League

Huddersfield celebrated their Premier League survival by cancelling their flight home to Yorkshire and instead returning from Wednesday night's 1-1 draw at Chelsea by bus.

It's a simply remarkable achievement for Huddersfield who were almost everyone's pick to suffer an instant return down to the Championship following their surprise promotion to the Promised Land last season.

Laurent Depoitre fired the visitors into the lead against the run of play before Chelsea equalised in fortuitous fashion - Mathias Jorgensen's clearance striking Marcos Alonso in the face before flying into the net.

Chelsea attempted a lap of honour for the last home game of the season but it was a brief and half-hearted affair, drowned out by the celebrating Huddersfield fans and with most disappointed home supporters already making their way to the tube.

Antonio Rudiger should have scored twice and Jonas Lossl saved brilliantly to deny Andreas Christensen following a late goalmouth scramble.

Huddersfield had to withstood tremendous pressure in the final stages of the game to claim the draw and secure their Premier League status for another year. I think defensively as well, we have been keeping clean-sheets but the biggest regret this season, it's been up front, not taking our chances.

Warriors Playoff Scouting Report: Houston Rockets Guards
Houston has been planning for this showdown for some time now, having built a team capable of competing with the Warriors. In 11 games, he chipped in 24.4 points per game, 5.9 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.5 steals. "It's just fun", he said.

Yaya Toure made an emotional final home appearance for Manchester City as the Premier League champions broke more records with a 3-1 win over Brighton.

Chelsea still have a chance of finishing in the top four and a place in next season's Champions League, but they need to win both their remaining matches, and hope either Liverpool or Tottenham slip up. "We stole a point but we needed it".

"We have had many, many chances to score in games - to win games that we didn't win, games that we drew", he told Sky Sports. We must try to improve for the future.

City moved onto 97 points, two more than Chelsea's final total from the 2004-05 season, and 105 goals, two more than Chelsea's previous record haul from the 2009-10 season.

Iheanacho fired the Foxes ahead with a sharp left-footed shot from the centre of the penalty area in the 14th minute and Arsenal defender Konstantinos Mavropanos was sent off straight after the restart for hauling down the forward. For sure, they started this game with only one target in their mind: to take one point.

"The situation is not in our hands".
