If the Golden State Warriors are anxious as they head into Game 6 of the Western Conference finals today (9am Brunei time) on the brink of elimination, they aren't showing it. Then they got outscored by Golden State's Splash Brothers in the second half, when Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry combined for 37 points and the Rockets managed to put up only 25. At one point in the second quarter, when the Warriors were beginning to make a run, he was telling his teammates on the court to keep things going.

Klay Thompson hit nine 3-pointers while scoring 35 points.

Thompson insisted the Warriors remain equally focused, adding: "If we take the same focus and execute the game plan like we should, I have all the confidence in the world in this team".

And quite frankly, if Golden State can't, at the very least, win Game 6 on their home floor with Paul sidelined, they don't deserve to be in the conversation for being the best team in National Basketball Association history.

"We have a chance to tie the series at home".

Warriors center Kevon Looney was listed as questionable on the injury report for Monday's Game 7 against the Rockets with a sprained toe.

"I know for us, we're going to come out there and be ready to play from the start of the game", Kevin Durant said.

Fast forward about two months, and McCaw is suiting up - in the biggest game of the season. I've had teammates who literally played one play in a playoff game, and made a play and helped us win a game.

"I mean, I guess you could say I was born for it", he said, as the interview room inside Oracle Arena erupted with laughter.

Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals will be tonight in Boston. The Warriors have been lulled into mismatch attacking over the past two games of the series but they did it in a much more uptempo and free-flowing way in this game. But we can't count on it. Injuries happen, and you've just got to play with whoever's out there. The Warriors have missed the defensive presence of Iguodala who has missed the last two games with a bruised left knee.

They've won 26 of their last 32 playoff games regardless of the site, and have a 3-1 record under Kerr in potential elimination games, with the lone loss coming in Game 6 of the 2016 Finals against Cleveland.

In most all other instances, the Warriors have looked skittish or scattered or oddly disconnected, never more than in Game 4, when they coughed up a 12-point lead over the final 11 minutes. Houston committed four quick turnovers.

This time he scored 35 points with nine 3-pointers as the Warriors rallied with a huge second half to beat the Rockets 115-86 on Saturday night to force a deciding game in the Western Conference finals.
