Briton Joshua, with a professional record of 21 wins and no losses is the holder of the IBF, WBA, WBO and IBO titles while Wilder who has 40 wins and no losses is the WBC world champion.
There is a lot of sorting out to do for this fight, but great news that in principle he seems to be on board for the idea of coming to the United Kingdom for the fight.
Eddie Hearn has revealed a fight between Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder would likely occur in November in Cardiff - assuming the American is "serious" about wanting it.
'In addition to that, today I agreed to their offer to fight Joshua next in the U.K. If Joshua prefers the fight in the United Kingdom. the ball is in their court.
Hearn told Sportsmail: 'We made him (Wilder) an offer four weeks and now they have come back via social media accepting terms and wanting to proceed to contract. Team Joshua offered Wilder way less and Deontay still said yes.
Complicating matters is that Joshua is already due to take on WBA mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin.

He also said he would be holding multiple meetings with the heads of various SCO member states on the sidelines of the summit. He was in the Chinese city of Wuhan on April 27 and 28 to attend an informal summit with President Xi Jinping .
"We're not looking to be hard in the contract but again, there seems to be a lot of talking on social media so we'll see if it is all bluster or whether he knows that the Povetkin fight is in the balance".
"We've got to get to the bottom of it all today. Not as good as we feel it should be, but we want the fight, and we're willing to take what they offered", Finkel said.
Another possible outlet is the Perform Group's DAZN sports streaming service, which is due to launch in the US later this summer, with Hearn's recently agreed to eight-year, $1 billion deal to provide boxing content due to begin in September.
"The fact that we've lost four weeks waiting for an answer from Deontay Wilder makes a fight happening in 11 or 12 weeks of this magnitude unlikely", Hearn said. It's up to them to choose U.S. or UK. But we need to get the contract back from Deontay Wilder - then we will know if this is bluster or if he is serious'.
The victor of the first fight will become the undisputed heavyweight champion. Not only does he hold a majority of the prominent belts, his victory in a war over onetime long reigning division king Wladimir Kltischko established the fighter as the man to beat throughout the fight world.
