Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred is expected to finalise his move to Manchester United early this week, the BBC has claimed.

It's happening. Fred has arrived at Carrington for his medical.

A statement released on the club's official website read: "Manchester United is delighted to announce it has reached agreement with Shakhtar Donetsk for the transfer of Frederico Rodrigues de Paula Santos (Fred)".

'When I signed him at Shakhtar, Taison and Bernard were playing in his position.

The Brazilian is set to replace Michael Carrick who retired to join the United backroom staff at the end of last season.

He will ease the pressure on Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic in the midfield department although it raises question marks over Ander Herrera's long-term future at the club.

Chelsea winger Willian has backed worldwide team-mate Fred to succeed in the Premier League with Manchester United.

The 29-year-old, who has scored eight times in 55 global appearances, felt last season was a good one personally but was coy about his plans after the summer.

Some noted the similarity to Trump's voice, while others noted the fact that anyone could easily tweet from her account. It's unclear when Trump will make a public appearance, but Grisham insisted Friday, "She is fine, she's doing great".

Today, Man Utd have agreed a deal to sign Fred....

Fred's career has not been without controversy however.

He was at the centre of controversy in 2015 after testing positive for the the diuretic hydrochlorothiazide during the Copa America in Chile, and was banned for a year as a result. But the suspension only applied to games sanctioned by Conmebol, the South American football confederation.

"He goes to one of the best teams in the world and I'm happy for him".

The announcement of Fred was perhaps expediated by the fact that Brazil coach Tite had said he wanted his players domestic futures to be decided before the World Cup this summer.

Dalot, who can play at either left-back or right-back, has been on United's radar for some time and Jose Mourinho is clearly an admirer of his compatriot.

The Belgian global is reportedly a target for Arsenal this summer, and his departure from Old Trafford is all but confirmed as of now.
