Alleged sexual abuse victim sends emails to Ohio Rep

U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan is being accused of turning a blind eye to abuse that occurred while he was an assistant coach for the Ohio State University wrestling team two decades ago.

More immediately, Mr. Jordan has stepped forward as one of President Trump's most visible, aggressive and undaunted defenders in the House, helping lead a Republican counterinvestigation of those F.B.I. and Justice Department officials who are investigating potential connections between the Trump campaign and Russian election interference efforts.

The office of 4th district congressman Jim Jordan says newly released records show attempts to schedule an interview with him as part of an Ohio State sex abuse investigation were sent to a non-existent email address. No question in my mind.

The president praised Jordan ― a Trump ally and co-founder of the powerful, conservative House Freedom Caucus ― calling him "an outstanding man".

Another accuser and former wrestler at Ohio State University, Dunyasha Yetts, told NBC News that he and other teammates told Jordan about Strauss multiple times.

According to Mike DiSabato, who has gone public with the accusations that date back to a period between the late 70's and the 90's, knowledge about the alleged groping and attacks on athletes by Dr. Richard Strauss, was common knowledge within the locker room.

"I am not a flawless person, but ask any of the wrestlers and they will tell you everybody knew about Doc", Yetts said.

Three former wrestlers are claiming there's no way Jordan would have been unaware that Strauss was abusing members of the team.

If he's right about that, he could be playing at not just the next World Cup but the 2026 World Cup as well. This meant that Portugal have lost their fourth World Cup knockout match in a row.

Trafford said Perkins Coie followed up on the May emails with a June 12 phone call that Jordan appears also not to have received. Strauss died in 2005.

DiSabato told NBC News, "I considered Jim Jordan a friend". Sources tell Fox News that Jordan had previously forwarded the emails to Chief of Staff Kevin Eichinger and Jordan's attorney.

Before meeting with university officials, he said, he had contacted Mr. Jordan, with whom he said he spoke regularly.

Jordan's office also said that it had not been contacted by investigators from the university looking into the accusations. "And look, if there are people who are abused, then that's bad and we want justice to happen".

Former UFC world champion Mark Coleman has became the fifth former Ohio State wrestler to claim publicly that Rep.

"I participated with Jimmy and the other wrestlers in locker-room talk about Strauss". Jordan was an assistant wrestling coach at Ohio State from 1987 to 1995. "It was very common knowledge in the locker room that if you went to Dr. Strauss for anything, you would have to pull your trousers down".

"But to say that he had no knowledge of it, I would say that's kind of hurtful", Dailey said. "It's just not accurate to say those things, that we knew of it and didn't report it".
