Their night started by the news that LeBron James has chose to join the Lakers on a four-year, $154 million deal, followed by Kentavious Caldwell-Pope agreeing to re-sign the Lakers on a one-year, $12 million deal.

The Cavs played 81 postseason games - one contest shy of an entire regular season - the last four years, winning 55 of them.

James will make $25.65 million next season.

But Haynes reports that the former Cavaliers superstar has never had a personal issue with Lance and it, therefore, shouldn't be a problem for them to be teammates.

James has been linked to multiple teams in free agency, most notably the Los Angeles Lakers and 76ers.

Once James committed to the Lakers, Stephenson was a top player on the team's priority list. But the Lakers still have plenty of cap space after signing James, and could still add more talent.

James played in Miami for four seasons and won two championships before he re-signed with the Cavaliers in July 2014.

Sampaoli: No decision on Argentina's starting XI for France clash
Argentina could stick with the same team that defeated Nigeria on Tuesday night. "Now, I see him a lot more comfortable now". The Barcelona star is heating up, scoring his first goal of the 2018 World Cup against Nigeria in his squad's last match.

Fans of James who have purchased a jersey in the past 90 days can exchange it for free for a Los Angeles Lakers jersey, thanks to an insurance program. Cleveland could choose to keep him and build around him as well, although he has two years left on his deal and likely wants to continue competing for titles at this stage of his career. LeBRON JAMES has completed his stunning switch to the Los Angeles Lakers.

It's hard to read too much into this, as far as where James may land. But the All-Star forward opted to stick with the Thunder and will sign a four-year deal when teams are permitted to finalize contracts on June 6.

The Cavs, on the other hand, have been mostly operating in the dark.

That's made it tough for Cleveland to upgrade its roster, but the Cavs remain committed to bringing back James even for just one more year.

According to ESPN, the fourth year of his contract is a player option.

LeBron is arguably the greatest basketball player of all time, but has notably less Championship wins than the likes of Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant to back that up. The Lakers can afford to be patient in building the team, even if James wasn't on board.
