Stolen Alaska Airlines plane crashes near Sea-Tac International Airport

"Apparently someone stole a plane from SeaTac?" wrote one Twitter user.

Pierce County Sheriff's Office says that a 29-year-old suicidal man acted alone and crashed the aircraft. He is reported to be a Pierce County resident.

The plane crashed on Ketron Island, which had 17 inhabitants, per the 2010 Census, and 10 families.

It also said "this was not a terrorist incident".

Alaska Air reports that a Horizon Air Q400, which is a twin propeller airplane, was stolen.
